Frequently Asked Questions
Lessons are taught in Mr. Taylor’s home studio, located at 11302 Eaton Way, Westminster, CO 80020. Lessons can also be online.
Typically, lessons are scheduled on weekday mornings, afternoons, or evenings. If there are any particular scheduling requests or considerations you may have, Mr. Taylor will be willing to work with you to find a reasonable accommodation.
Usually, lessons are scheduled once per week. However, for advanced students or students who want to make faster progress, two or three times a week is also possible.
Lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments. Recommended lesson duration depends on a few factors, such as student age, ability, and goals.
During the first lesson, the primary goal is for students and Mr. Taylor to get familiar with each other. Students will be able to show their abilities if they have studied their instrument previously, and beginning students will be introduced to the instrument they are learning. Any materials that will be necessary for lessons will be recommended at the conclusion of the lesson.
A good rule to follow is to multiply the student’s age by three and practice for that amount of minutes daily. For example, a ten-year-old student should practice about 30 minutes a day.
